Four HSPH faculty members have recently been promoted to senior leadership positions at the School.

Laurie Glimcher, the Irene Heinz Given professor of immunology at HSPH, was appointed the new head of the Division of Biological Sciences. Glimcher’s work involves understanding molecular pathways that regulate CD4 T helper cell development and activation; these cells are important for protective immunity and the immune response in autoimmune diseases. Glimcher is also an HMS professor of medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
