McLean Hospital has appointed Scott Rauch, HMS associate professor of psychiatry, the new president and psychiatrist in chief of the hospital and chair of Partners Psychiatry and Mental Health, beginning Nov. 1. Rauch has been at Massachusetts General Hospital for 15 years, where he serves as director of the Division of Psychiatric Neuroscience Research and Neurotherapeutics, director of psychiatric neuroimaging research, and associate chief of Psychiatry for Neuroscience Research. He is also the director of behavioral and mental health at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Rauch succeeds Gary Gottlieb, president of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, who has been serving as interim president of McLean.
